Because Eyes Matter
With all of the pressing matters we address pertaining to our children day-to-day, most of us as parents do not stop to think about the importance of a comprehensive eye exam for our children. We recommend that your child receive his/her first comprehensive eye exam between three and four years of age. Vision problems can begin early in life. Untreated problems can worsen and lead to permanent vision loss and delayed development. A comprehensive eye exam is necessary to detect problems that a simple vision screening can miss, such as eye coordination, lazy eye and near and farsightedness. Without healthy vision, our little ones may face unnecessary challenges not only in the classroom, but also with their mental, physical, social, and emotional well-being. Early detection and treatment of vision disorders provides the very best opportunity to treat and correct problems to help children see clearly.
