I don’t know why we feel that we need a theme in our kids rooms, but for some reason we all gravitate to that idea. I think it helps us get a visual of how the room will come out and what colors we can work with, and just generally puts our mind at rest that we actually have a plan. There are lots of great themes for boys’ rooms that cover all age ranges.

The main thing that you will want to keep in mind is that your little one will be growing and will change faster than you realize and might even pop up one day with an opinion. So, you can either go full throttle in to a theme that is something you both will love at this point, or you try to figure out something that is a happy medium between a full throttle theme and what they may like 5 years from now. Keep in mind, many people enjoy redoing their children’s rooms so if you fall in to that category, then have fun and go all out for a great theme that will make him love to dream, entertain and sleep in his favorite room in the house.

At Pippin McGee, we really believe that children need their own room where they can retreat to when the need, can imagine and build dreams out of train tracks and books and find the perfect place to spend a little bit of time by themselves to think, or have a mess of friends over to play. That room is very important to them. Here are a few ideas.
